Admissions At-A-Glance
For learners applying to the Certificate and Optional MA Program

Step 1
Review material for the Center for Traditional Medicine here and for the Fourth World Institute here. If you have any questions or difficulties accessing the information send an email to Dr. Leslie Korn or call at +360-586-0656 (US Pacific Time)

Step 2
Write a brief letter of introduction describing your background, interests, and reasons for wanting to enroll in this program. This is an opportunity to outline your goals and ask any questions regarding your study. Email your letter of interest to Dr. Leslie Korn. The letter of interest should not exceed two pages.

Step 3
Following receipt and review of this letter you will be advised whether an invitation to apply is forthcoming.

Step 4
There are two ways to submit your application. 

Online
Review, complete and submit the Application for Admission to the Certificate Program online here. The online application permits the use of a credit card with full security.

By surface mail
Please fill it out [print] and send the completed Online application with your payment to CWIS Registration (address on form). If you have questions do not hesitate to contact Dr. Leslie Korn, Director via email: Dr. Leslie Korn.

A $50.00 non-refundable processing fee must accompany your application. Your full name should appear on checks or money orders, especially if a bank, agency, or person other than yourself is sending the fee. Checks and money orders should be made payable to The Center For World Indigenous Studies.

Step 5
Advised of your acceptance you will receive final enrollment forms. Complete these forms an make the initial $1,500.00 certification fee or full $6000.00 (for total program) payable to The Center For World Indigenous Studies. Checks and money orders should be made payable to The Center For World Indigenous Studies. Credit Cards are accepted (VISA, Master Charge and American Express)

Step 6
After payment is received your first appointment is set with your Primary faculty/mentor to begin designing your study plan. This appointment may be in person, via email, computer uplink or over the phone.

Step 7
Applicants who wish to undertake the Certificate Program and enroll in the optional Masters program with the CWIS collaborating institution will (if desired) apply for financial aid must do so 3 months prior to admission to the Masters Program.

Step 8
Complete your study plan with the assistance of your primary faculty/mentor. Approximately 3 revisions are normally required to arrive at a final document plan. Implementation of your program begins immediately.
